HHS Blood, Organ, and Tissue Senior Executive Council (BOTSEC) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, CMS, FDA, OS CC, NHLBI The mission of the Blood, Organ, and Tissue Senior Executive Council (BOTSEC) is to serve as the department''s internal executive leadership coordination mechanism across all the staff and operating divisions involved in blood, organ, and tissue safety and blood product availability. The internal committee is also responsible for looking at providing timely recommendations on emerging issues that are taking place. It also provides decisional elements on proposed policies, public health threats, and issues related to blood, organ, and tissue safety and availability. The staff of the Public Health Service (PHS) operating divisions involved in blood, organ and tissues safety (BOTS) meet monthly by a teleconference call.
HHS Data Council Other AHRQ, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, OS, SAMHSA NIA, NIMH Coordinates all health and human services data collection and analysis activities of the Department of Health and Human Services, including an integrated data collection strategy, coordination of health data standards and health and human services and privacy policy activities.
HHS Diagnostics Integrated Program Team (Dx IPT) Other CDC, FDA NIAID The Diagnostics Integrated Program Team (Dx IPT) was established by the USG Public Health Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise (PHEMCE) Executive Committee (EEC). The DxIPT will advise leadership on investments in human health diagnostics, medical countermeasures to improve the response to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats, pandemic influenza (PI), and emerging infectious diseases (EID). Members include Federal employees or contractors to the Federal Government with diverse expertise in diagnostics. In 2012, DxIPT was charged with two tasks: 1) to reevaluate the feasibility of anthrax diagnostics for asymptomatic infections and 2) to develop Q-TRLs (Quantitative Technological Readiness Levels) for diagnostics to represent milestones and activities for the product development lifecycle from discovery through post-approval.

HHS Health Literacy Working Group Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, AHRQ, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, OS, OSG NEI, NCI, NLM, OD/OCPL This Workgroup is comprised of various HHS agencies that work towards meeting the Department’s prevention goals and to accomplish the National Action Plan and the Healthy People 2020 Objective: Improve the health literacy of persons with inadequate or marginal literacy skills.
