NIH Triennial Report
The NIH Triennial Report fulfills a requirement outlined in section 403 of the Public Health Service Act that requires the NIH Director to submit a report to Congress that assesses the state of biomedical and behavioral research and describes NIH activities and priorities. Development of the report is coordinated by OEPR, who work with staff throughout NIH to provide an overview of the NIH research portfolio across the Institutes and Centers and offices within the Office of the Director. Examples of NIH-funded research advances are cited in the report, as are NIH efforts to promote implementation of research findings in the clinic and to communicate important health information to the public.
