SAMHSA |
NIDA |
CADCA, or Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, engages in strategic planning and partnerships with several federal agencies to advance its mission of reducing substance misuse in communities across the nation. This collaboration was for the purpose of meeting to discuss NIDA's efforts for the yearly National Meeting in February. |
| Canadian-U.S. Dietary Reference Intakes Working Group |
Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force |
OASH, AHRQ, CDC, FDA |
NIDDK, OD/DPCPSI/ODS, OD/DPCPSI/ONR |
The US and Canadian governments have each established Federal DRI Committees that work collaboratively to identify DRI needs and to coordinate government sponsorship of DRI reviews and related activities. The DRIs — which reflect nutrient reference values essential to national nutrition policies and to professionals working in the field of nutrition and health — have been developed under the auspices of the Institute of Medicine with funding from the US and Canadian governments. |
| Cancer Cabinet Prevention and Screening Task Force Nutrition Subgroup |
Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force |
CDC, FDA, IHS |
NCCIH, NCI, NIA, NINR, OD/DPCPSI/ODP |
The Cancer Cabinet was convened by the White House, bringing together cabinet agencies and relevant departments, including multiple White House components to address progress against cancer in five priority actions.(1) close the screening gap, (2) understand and address environmental exposure, (3) decrease the impact of preventable cancers, (4) bring cutting edge research through the pipeline to patients and communities, and (5) support patients and caregivers. This is an interagency group for developing and disseminating evidence based talking points for federal staff, and compiling resources for public facing purposes and around screening for dietary and nutrition risk factors. |
| Capturing the full trajectory of patient-centered cancer care via enhanced data linkages |
Resource Development |
ASPE |
NCATS, NCI |
This 3-year, $1.8 million project is funded by the Office of Secretary's Patient Centered Outcomes Trust Funds. NCI and NCATS are collaborating to establish linkages between cancer registry data and EHR data to create patient cohorts for two common and two rare cancers. This project shall use the N3C data platform of NCATS to create a new cancer tenant within N3C. One objective is to assess the feasibility of extracting data on cancer treatments and patient-centered outcomes within each cancer cohort. Another objective is to characterize cancer treatment variations. This project is exploring a partnership with NIDDK, which is creating renal and diabetes tenants using the same N3C platform. |
| Cardio-Oncology Working Group |
Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force |
FDA |
NCI, NHLBI |
A working group aiming at stimulating interest in cardio-oncology, a growing research area due to advancements in cancer therapies, unfortunately associated with significant cardiovascular toxicity. By leveraging a strong partnership between NHLBI, NCI, and the FDA, the group seeks to identify gaps in research, emerging areas, new screening tools, and novel strategies for early detection, prevention, and management of cardiovascular toxicity related to cancer treatment, to improve cancer patients outcomes. |
| CCDI Molecular Targets Platform |
Resource Development |
FDA |
NCI |
The CCDI Molecular Targets Platform allows users to browse and identify associations between molecular targets, diseases, and drugs. The RACE Act requires evaluation of new molecularly targeted drugs and biologics “intended for the treatment of adult cancers and directed at a molecular target substantially relevant to the growth or progression of a pediatric cancer.” This act also eliminates the orphan exemption for pediatric studies of cancer drugs directed at relevant molecular targets. In accordance with the RACE Act, the FDA, in collaboration with NCI and the pediatric cancer research community, developed a Relevant Molecular Target List (RMTL) to provide guidance to industry in planning for new drug and biologic submissions. NCI converted this RMTL list into a computer-readable format with gene-level granularity and all targets mapped and hyperlinked to additional resources and identifiers; integrated this list into Molecular Targets Platform. |
| CDC Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) Task Force |
Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force |
CDC |
NIAID, NINDS |
The AFM Task Force was established to aid in the ongoing investigation to define the cause of, and improve treatment and outcomes for, patients with AFM. The Task Force functions as a work group of the CDC Board of Scientific Counselors, Deputy Director for Infectious Diseases.https://www.cdc.gov/ddid/bsc/afm-task-force.html |

Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force |
CDC, CDC |
NLM |
The CDC-led Technical Coordinating Committee for Advanced Molecular Detection Platform and Next-Generation Sequencing Quality (TANQ) coordinates information sharing and collaboration between CDC and state public health laboratories. Focusing on bacteria and viruses, TANQ prioritizes key activities, provides feedback, and supports the development of bioinformatics capacity and a CDC bioinformatics platform to meet public health needs. Its meetings primarily include representatives from state public health labs, CDC employees, and some academic partners. |
| CDC COVID-19 Testing Coordination Committee |
Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force |
