MCBS is a continuous, in-person, longitudinal survey of a representative national sample of the Medicare population.

Code Map Services for Interoperability of Common Data Models and Data Standards (CDMH III) Resource Development ASPE, FDA, ONC NCATS, NCI Code Map Services facilitate the use of open, consensus-based standards, consistent with HHS’s recognition of the need for greater interoperability of data and sharing of resources.  The goal of this project is to facilitate Common Data Model (CDM) network interoperability, thereby expanding researchers’ access to clinical data that can be used for addressing new questions across a range of populations and settings. Specific objectives of the research include developing CDM interoperability services, improving quality and efficiency of model-to-model mappings, and extending the functionality of CDMs to allow submissions of clinical trials data.
Collaboration with the New York Lung Cancer Foundation Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force FDA NCI Dr. Peter Ujhazy has actively participated in the New York Lung Cancer Foundation Summit “Call to Action” on March 3-4, 2023 by co-chairing two sessions: 1. "Small cell lung cancer: Needs and future clinical trials" session, and 2. "What are we missing in lung cancer research?" session.  The meeting lead to a white paper manuscript (see attached), which is now published.  Peter Ujhazy contributed to the manuscript and is one of the co-authors.  The paper addresses the most recent developments in lung cancer research and lists priorities and future opportunities in lung cancer clinical research.  The manuscript is registered in the NIH MRS and Dr. Ujhazy's participation has been approved by DCTD leadership.  The manuscript has the PMID39002176.In 2024 the same group met again in New York, NY on March 15-16.  Dr. Ujhazy participated in the meeting too having similar responsibilities as in the 2023 meeting. While he contributed to the new white paper manuscript from this meeting, he is not listed as a co-author, rather than  a contributor in the Acknowledgments because of the NCI restrictions on authorship.  The paper was published in 2024 and has the PMID39413875. 
Collaborative Community on Ophthalmic Imaging (CCOI) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force FDA NEI CCOI held its fourth international meeting in January 2024 entitled “Expanding Datasets for Digitally Enhanced Management of Eye Diseases: Patient-Generated Data, Generative AI, 4D Imaging, and other Alternate Data Streams,” the meeting gathered experts from around the world and across academia, government institutions, patient groups, and the private sector to discuss the opportunities and challenges of utilizing various datasets in AI and ophthalmic imaging for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, with a special emphasis on issues of AI implementation in the real world.
