Child Abuse and Neglect Working Group (CANWG) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, HRSA, SAMHSA NICHD, CSR, NIAAA, NIDA, NIMH, NINDS The NIH Child Abuse and Neglect Working Group (CANWG) was established in response to a recent directive by the House Committee on Appropriations, which requested that NIH report on current NIH efforts, accomplishments, and future plans for research on child abuse and neglect. The CANWG is co-chaired by program staff from NICHD and NIDA (formally NIMH). The working group is also a subcommittee of the Federal Interagency Workgroup on Child Abuse and Neglect.
Childhood Cancer Among Children with Birth Defects in California Research Initiative CDC NCI In collaboration with investigators from the Birth Defects Branch, CDC, Stanford University and the Northern California Cancer Center, a registry study has been undertaken that links data from the California Birth Defects Registry and the California State Cancer Registry to quantify risks of total and specific types of pediatric cancer associated with structural birth defects according to phenotype.

These include: 1) factors affecting access and care for persons with CFS; 2) the science and definition of CFS; and 3) broader public health, clinical, research and educational issues related to CFS.
Chronic Toxicity Test for Bisphenol A Research Initiative FDA NIEHS The FDA will assess BPA toxicity using a two year exposure starting during gestation in SD rats; this will be a GLP ("good laboratory practice") guideline study. The NIEHS has funded twelve researchers who will add specific disease associated endpoints to the standard guideline study.
