National Asthma Education and Prevention Program Federal Liaison Group on Asthma (FLGA) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, ATSDR, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, OS NIAID, NHLBI, NIA, NICHD, NIEHS, NIMHD, NINR The Federal Liaison Group on Asthma is a subcommittee of the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program that is charged with addressing ways to strengthen and improve the coordination of asthma-related activities across agencies of the Federal Government. The group provides a forum for federal agencies with major interest in asthma to exchange ideas and explore collaborative activities.
National Birth Defects Prevention Network (NBDPN) - Expanded Collaboration Possibilities Meeting/ Workshop CDC NIDCR, NICHD Meeting of NIH staff, CDC staff, and investigators from the National Birth Defects Prevention Network to discuss ongoing projects, challenges, and possibilities for expanded collaboration. As a follow-on, a Birth Defects Genetics Workshop is scheduled for November 2, 2010 (FY2011).
National Children''s Study Research Initiative CDC NICHD The NICHD leads a consortium of federal agencies in conducting the National Children''s Study (NSC). This study is a large longitudinal study on the environmental effects of children''s health. This IAA is an agreement between CDC and NICHD in supporting the NCS. CDC will prescreen biological sample collection supplies for environmental contaminants and conduct laboratory analysis of biological samples.
National Children''s Study Interagency Coordinating Committee Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC NICHD, NIEHS Initiated in 2000-2001, the NCS Interagency Coordinating Committee represents the lead agencies for the Study and oversees broad Study issues and ensures interagency collaboration. The representatives assure that at a high level, the mission and goals of the National Children''s Study are maintained over time and that they reflect the scientific priorities of the Study''s four lead agencies. The committee is made up of staff from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (including the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, of the National Institutes of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

NCCOR accelerates progress to reduce childhood obesity in the United States by maximizing outcomes from research, building the capacity for research and surveillance, creating and supporting the mechanisms and infrastructure needed for research translation and dissemination and supporting evaluations.

National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP) Public Education Campaign CDC NIDDK "Established in 1997, the National Diabetes Education Program is a federally-funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and includes over 200 partners at the federal, state and local levels, working together to improve the treatment and outcomes for people with diabetes, promote early diagnosis, and prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes. "
National Drug Facts Week Public Education Campaign SAMHSA NIDA, NIAAA NIDA launched this new national health awareness week in November 2010 to bring together teens and scientific experts to discuss the facts about drug abuse. The observance is being supported by offices in multiple federal agencies that share an interest in preventing teen drug abuse: ONDCP, US Department of Education, US Department of Transportation, US Department of Justice, and US Department of Defense.
