This council plays a crucial role in implementing policies and strategies related to mental health and substance use disorders.

HHS Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Workgroup Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, AHRQ, ASA, ASFR, ASPE, ASPR, CDC, CMS, HRSA, OASH, OCR, ONC, OS, SAMHSA NIA, NIAID, NICHD, NIMHD, NINR, OD/DPCPSI/IMOD The HHS SDoH Workgroup has developed a strategic vision to make health outcomes more equitable by improving the delivery of, and integration between healthcare and social services with a particular focus on individuals and populations in government health and human service programs at high risk for adverse outcomes.  The SDoH workgroup identifies how HHS can address SDoH and work with other federal, state, local, tribal, and private sector partners to both ascertain and achieve shared objectives.

HHS Supervisor Mentoring Circle Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OS NIDDK At the request of HHS, established and launched the HHS Supervisor Mentoring Circle as part of the Inspire Supervisory Excellence Program (ISEP) and in alignment with the Workforce Engagement Strategic Plan (WESP). The inaugural mentoring circle consists of GS 13-15 supervisors from 7 different OpDivs and 3 different job series.

HHS Task Force to Prevent Human Trafficking Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OS NICHD, OD/DPCPSI/OBSSR The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has a critical role in the U.S. Government’s comprehensive response to prevent and combat human trafficking. HHS Tobacco Cessation Workgroup Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OS NIDA The committee coordinates and initiates tobacco control activities across HHS agencies. The Committee meets monthly to promote information exchange and collaboration across HHS on a wide array of tobacco prevention and control issues, and to update members on the latest relevant research findings.
