Federal Interagency Workgroup on Improving Diagnostic Safety and Quality in Healthcare Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CDC, CMS, HRSA, IHS, OASH, ONC, SAMHSA CC, NCATS, NCI, NIBIB, NLM Federal Interagency Workgroup on Improving Diagnostic Safety and Quality in Healthcare was established in response to the Senate Report 115-150, which requested that AHRQ convene a cross-agency work group to address the lack of dedicated research into improving medical diagnosis and in particular, diagnostic failures that lead to patient harm. The Senate language was in response to the 2015 National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine "Improving Diagnosis in Health Care." This report was a continuation of two previously published reports from the Institute of Medicine: To Err Is Human: Building a Safer Health System (2000) and Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century (2001). Federal Interagency Workgroup on Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities Administrative Data Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACL, AHRQ, ASPE, CDC, CMS, HRSA, SAMHSA NICHD, NIMH Launched in early 2020, the purpose of the FIW IAD is to establish greater coordination and collaboration of existing and newly developing federal activities related to ID/DD administrative data, terminology and definition concerns, data collection and related methodologies. We are committed to identifying and prioritizing opportunities to maximize the reach of federal efforts using IDD administrative data to understand and improve the lives of people with IDD.
Federal Interagency Working Group on Measuring Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, CMS, SAMHSA NICHD, OD/DPCPSI/SGMRO This working group explores measurement of sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI), considering multiple different dimensions of sex, gender, and sexuality. The Working Group examines variability in measurement by age, race, ethnicity, and cultural group. It prepares recommendations to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and other Federal agencies for the development, testing, and usage of SOGI measures to more accurately describe LGBT populations.
Federal Interagency Workshop: Nonhuman Primate Resources and Needs for Biomedical Research Meeting/ Workshop BARDA OD/DPCPSI/ORIP This Federal Interagency Workshop was hosted by the NIH-Wide Nonhuman Primate Resource Planning Working Group. The meeting was held March 22, 2022, in response to a recommendation of the Expert Panel forum, entitled; Challenges in Assessing Nonhuman Primate Needs and Resources for Biomedical Research, held August 23-24, 2018. A non-public Final Report of the 2022 Federal Interagency Workshop was also developed.

Federal Partners in Transition (FPT) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, HRSA NIMH The Federal Partners in Transition (FPT) is a voluntary interdepartmental/interagency working group that consists of representatives from several federal agencies, including the Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and Labor, as well as the Social Security Administration, which are involved in promoting inclusive service delivery for transitioning youth with disabilities from school into postsecondary education, the workforce, and independent living. 
Federal Physical Activity Networking Group Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA NIA, NICHD The networking group provides an example of coordinating with partners in other sectors to promote physical activity. 
Federal Plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OASH, ATSDR, CDC, FDA, HRSA, SAMHSA OD/DPCPSI/ODS The Federal Plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience (Federal Plan for ELTRR) was developed by the ELTRR Interagency Workgroup with active, sustained, and consistent engagement. The interagency body was formed in early 2020 in response to a specific objective in the federal government’s joint COVID-19 response.Senior career professionals from over 35 federal departments and agencies collaborated to develop the Plan. The number of departments and agencies engaged in the workgroup continues to grow.
