OSTP Joint Committee on Research Environments (JCORE) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force Not Reported OD/OER The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) organized the Joint Committee on Research Environments (JCORE) to address problems common to funding agencies across the government.  JCORE has established active subcommittees on administrative burden, rigor, integrity, workplace safety (including freedom from harassment), and science and security.
OSTP Low Earth Orbit Science and Technology Interagency Working Group Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force Not Reported NCATS The Low Earth Orbit Science and Technology Interagency Working Group coordinates science and technology policy, strategy, and Federal research and development (R&D) pertaining to space-based research and platform access to enable a robust and sustainable ecosystem in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) under the auspices of OSTP. This coordinated effort aims to ensure that U.S. leadership in the development and use of Low Earth Orbit for scientific research and technological applications is sustained and expanded for future use. This working group maintains requirements for R&D capabilities required of commercially-owned LEO platforms, facilitates engagement with platformproviders and Federal agencies to ensure such capabilities remain available and/or are developed, and supports establishing priorities and joint efforts in conjunction with the LEO National Lab.
OSTP Materials Genome Initiative Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force Not Reported NIBIB The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) chartered this committee to create a new era of policy, resources, and infrastructure that support U.S. institutions in the effort to discover, manufacture, and deploy advanced materials twice as fast, at a fraction of the cost. The MGI subcommittee is led by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the co-chair is the National Science Foundation (NSF). Other members include the Department of Energy (DoE), the Department of Defense (DoD), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Partnership of FDA Centers of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSI) and NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Programs Research Initiative FDA NCATS This activity aims to collaborate and foster partnership between the CTSA Program and CERSI Program to advance regulatory science by leveraging the resources and expertise from both programs. The respective shared goals of regulatory science and translational science provide opportunities to tackle high-impact concepts across all stages of the translational science spectrum. Collaborative groups from the CTSA Program and CERSI Program eligible organizations are invited to develop multi-site research projects to address roadblocks in translational research with innovative solutions.
Pathogen Detection Project and Interagency Collaboration on Genomics for Food and Feed Safety (Gen-FS) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, FDA NLM The Pathogen Detection Project is a multi-agency collaboration that combines data from pathogen outbreaks with other information to determine the major source of contamination. Collaborating agencies include NLM, FDA, CDC, USDA-Food Safety and Inspection Service, and Public Health England. The U.S. agencies formalized their collaboration in a charter document (Interagency Collaboration on Genomics for Food and Feed Safety (Gen-FS)) that includes coordinating activities on antimicrobial resistance. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pathogens/
