DOD Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) Vision Research Program Research Initiative Not Reported NEI The Vision Research Collaborative (VRC) is a joint initiative between the National Eye Institute (NEI) and the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) Vision Research Program (VRP) of the Department of Defense (DOD). The goal of this partnership is to provide additional funding opportunities for VRP proposals, enhance current NEI Program portfolios, expand the scope of research supported by the NEI, and provide support for high quality projects addressing critical gaps in civilian and military vision research.
DOD Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force Not Reported NEI The Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP), established in fiscal year 1999 (FY99), has supported research across the full range of science and medicine, with an underlying goal of enhancing the health, care, and well-being of military Service Members, Veterans, retirees, and their family members.
DOD Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force Not Reported OD/DPCPSI/ODS CHAMP carries out and translates research to improve service member performance in the field and returning to duty. CHAMP aims to be DoD’s best resource for evidence-based information on human performance optimization (HPO) to improve the performance and resilience of our service members and their families.
DOD Working Group on Computational Modeling of Human Lethality, Injury, and Impairment Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force Not Reported NIDCR The DoD Blast Injury Research Coordinating Office (BIRCO) established the DoD Working Group on Computational Modeling of Human Lethality, Injury, and Impairment from Blast-Related Threats to shape, focus, and coordinate the DoD's computational modeling efforts to enable a new DoD capability for modeling and simulation of human lethality, injury, and impairment from the entire spectrum of blast-related threats and environments. The Working Group will help to coalesce fragmented and disparate human modeling and simulation programs and projects to create a coordinated and cohesive DoD effort that will enable a new capability for modeling and simulation of human lethality, injury, and impairment from the entire spectrum of blast threat environments. The Working Group includes representatives from stakeholder organizations across the DoD and from other government agencies.
