Critical Crossroads Federal Steering Committee Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, CDC, HRSA, OS, SAMHSA NICHD, NIMH, NINDS The Critical Crossroads initiative, initiated by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program, seeks to collaborate across federal agencies to improve the identification of and care coordination for children experiencing mental health crises in rural emergency care settings. The project will identify resources and best practice tools that can be disseminated to states and rural communities. The goals of the project are to improve the coordination of care of children in emergency mental health crisis and post-crisis in rural regions and to provide training and policy resources to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and ED practitioners.
Cytomegalovirus Infection: Advancing Strategies for Prevention and Treatment Meeting/ Workshop CDC, FDA NIAID, NICHD The purpose of this meeting was to facilitate the discovery and development of vaccines and therapeutics for serious cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections and/or disease by assessing the state of the art and identifying knowledge gaps and other barriers to advancement of products. CMV infection causes significant morbidity and mortality in congenitally-infected infants and transplant recipients.

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Medical Claims Review Panel Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, OS, SAMHSA CC The Medical Claims Review Panel (MCRP) assists the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in meeting its responsibility to provide quality health care in its facilities and by its practitioners. The MCRP reviews paid claims against DHHS facilities and providers to determine if the care provided met the standard of care and makes quality improvement recommendations to health care facilities and individual providers. The Panel meets monthly and includes two National Institutes Health (NIH) representatives; the current Chair of the Panel is an NIH physician.
