The FDA-NIH Tobacco Regulatory Science Workgroup is comprised of NIH staff and staff from FDA Center for Tobacco Products. The purpose of the group is to leverage the research experience and capability of NIH to maximize the opportunity available in authorities given in the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act to reduce tobacco related morbidity and mortality.

Federal leadership for the National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities (NPA) is provided by the Federal Interagency Health Equity Team (FIHET). The FIHET was established to foster communications and activities of the NPA within federal agencies and their partners; and to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of related policies and programs at the national, state, tribal, and local levels. NIMHD staff serves on the FIHET including two subgroups, Health-In-All Policies working group, and the Data, Research, and Evaluation Subcommittee.
