Workshop held March 3-4 2015 to identify future research directions in Stevens Johnson Syndrome/Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (SJS/TEN), jointly across multiple NIH ICs and FDA''s pharmacosurveillance group. Goals are to review current state of knowledge of surveillance, pathogenesis, and treatment of SJS/TEN; examine role of genomics and pharmacogenomics in etiology, treatment, and eradication of preventable causes of SJS/TEN; and identify gaps, unmet needs, and priorities for future research to eliminate genetically mediated SJS/TEN globally.

Workshop Planning on Cardiovascular Diseases in the Inmate and Released Prison Population

Assess existing information on the cardiovascular health of prison populations both while they are incarcerated and after their release, to identify gaps in knowledge and propose promising areas for research with an eye towards interventions to improve the cardiovascular health of this population. The working group will also consider the barriers and challenges of conducting research in these populations.
