The National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) - started in 1957 - is a continuous, nationwide in-person survey of the U.S. civilian non-institutionalized population. An estimated 27,000 sample adult and 9,000 sample child interviews are expected to be completed annually. NCI sponsors an annual Cancer Control Supplement (CCS) to the NHIS, which is administered to the sample adult in the selected household. The CCS focuses on the surveillance of cancer screening use, cancer risk assessment practices, and cancer-related health behaviors in the U.S. |

This multi-agency steering committee is led by the White House's Office of National AIDS Policy. The Committee provided input to update the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) which includes strategies to address social determinants of health. The committee was expanded to engage other departments and programs (Labor, Education, Housing, Agriculture, Transportation) to create a whole-of-government approach. The revised NHAS was released in December 2021. |

The National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health, part of CDC, organized a SGM work group in 2021 to advance inclusion of SGM populations in data collection and work related to occupational health and safety. There are not good demographic data available about experiences and differences in LGBTQI+ folks' experience at work or ways to look for systematic barriers or disparities for these populations in workforce settings, and this group seeks to address this gap. |

The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) Directory of Organizations is designed to help patients, health consumers, providers, and others find agencies and organizations with an interest in the diseases and disorders of human communication. The directory is maintained as an online database accessible to the public from the NIDCD website. Several US Department of Health and Human Services agencies are included. |

The National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research (NICBR) is a consortium of eight agencies with a common vision of Federal research partners working in synergy to achieve a healthier and more secure nation. It serves as a framework for facilitating and encouraging interaction among the NICBR member organizations where there are areas of mutual interest. Members collaborate and share technical expertise and scientific services. This multiagency confederation operates by consensus to ensure a balanced direction and focus. The eight members include elements of the Department of Defense, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, and Homeland Security. The mission of NICBR is to develop unique knowledge, tools, and products by leveraging advanced technologies and innovative discoveries to secure and defend the health of the American people. |

The National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System (NNCSS) is a congressionally mandated program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The authorizing legislation requires CDC to "enhance and expand infrastructure and activities to track the epidemiology of neurological diseases and incorporate information obtained through such activities into an integrated surveillance system, which may consist of or include a registry, to be known as the National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System." |
