Federal HIV Implementation Science Workgroup Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA NIAID, NIMH, OD/DPCPSI/OAR Representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA, HIV/AIDS Bureau), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) continued to convene a workgroup to focus on implementation science. The membership of the workgroup expanded to include the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of AIDS Research and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), as well as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The overall goal of the workgroup is to increase collaborative efforts and decrease duplication of efforts related to implementing and studying the implementation of a broad range of interventions related to the prevention and treatment of HIV. To achieve this goal, the workgroup agrees to pursue a number of broad actions, including: 1) clearly define implementation science for the purpose of the workgroup; 2) understand current implementation science activities and interests within each agency and in the HIV prevention field; 3) identify and define current implementation science successes and challenges within each agency; 4) identify shared priorities and individual priorities for each agency and how future activities could address identified challenges; 5) within the workgroup, share lessons learned and successful strategies for program implementation and how using implementation science might advance implementation efforts; 6) advance the broader dissemination and adoption of key result and evidence-based, evidence-informed, or novel implementation strategies to programmatic and research partners; 7) align technical assistance efforts to support programs to integrate evidence-based, evidence-informed, and novel implementation strategies; and 8) support the advancement of implementation science as a field.
Federal HIV/AIDS Web Council (FHAWC) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AoA, ASPA, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, OASH, OCR, OGA, OS, SAMHSA NIAID, NIDA, OD/DPCPSI/OAR The Council includes web, subject matter experts (content), and communications leads from over twenty programs, agencies and offices, representing HIV programs across the U.S. Government. Members plan and implement Federal new media efforts around HIV.  In addition, the Council promotes coordination and collaboration to improve delivery of HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, and treatment messages and services via new media.  The HIV.gov team convenes the Council's monthly conference calls and coordinates an annual in-person meeting.
Federal Interagency Forum for Child and Family Statistics Other ACF, AHRQ, ASPE, OASH, SAMHSA NICHD, NIDA, NIMH The Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics (Forum) is a collection of 23 Federal government agencies involved in research and activities related to children and families. The Forum was founded in 1994 and formally established in April 1997 under Executive Order No. 13045. The mission of the Forum is to foster coordination and collaboration and to enhance and improve consistency in the collection and reporting of Federal data on children and families. The Forum also aims to improve the reporting and dissemination of information on the status of children and families. 
Federal Interagency Forum on Aging Related Statistics Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACL, AHRQ, ASPE, CMS, SAMHSA NIA This Interagency Forum was formed with the goal of bringing together Federal agencies that share a common interest in improving aging-related data. The specific goals of the Forum are to improve both the quality and use of data on the aging population.
Federal Interagency Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Working Group Research Initiative Not Reported CIT, NIMH, NINDS The charge of the Federal Interagency TBI Working Group includes promoting collaboration among federal agencies. A goal of this committee is to develop a national “Roadmap” for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This strategic planning effort will represent the collective expertise of providers, educators, advocates, federal/state/national organizations, and individuals with TBI and their families and will result in a consensus document outlining the critical elements of a successful system of care for TBI service delivery. Outcomes of the planning effort include the adoption of National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) Common Data Elements for TBI research, and creation of the FITBIR Informatics System to store data from TBI patients and controls enrolled in studies funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) and National Institutes of Health (NIH). The FITBIR Informatics System was developed to share data across the entire TBI research field and to facilitate collaboration between laboratories, as well as interconnectivity with other informatics platforms.https://fitbir.nih.gov/
Federal Interagency Workgroup on Autism (FIWA) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, AHRQ, ASPE, ASPR, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, SAMHSA NICHD, NIMH The Federal Interagency Workgroup on Autism Spectrum Disorders (FIWA) is composed of representatives from departments and agencies across the U.S. Government, who voluntarily meet to coordinate research, services, and support activities related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The FIWA was first convened as an interagency workgroup to address requirements of the Autism Collaboration, Accountability, Research, Education, and Support (CARES) Act of 2014 (PL 113-157). The Autism Cares Act of 2014 required that the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) designate a National Autism Coordinator to oversee national ASD research, service, and support activities, and prevent unnecessary duplication of effort, in consultation with the Secretaries of Defense and Education. The Autism Cares Act of 2014 also required that this coordination of activities take into account the Strategic Plan developed by the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC), and requested a Report to Congress concerning young adults with ASD and the challenges related to the transition from existing school-based services to those services available during adulthood.
Federal Interagency Workgroup on Child Abuse and Neglect (FEDIAWG) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF NIAAA, NICHD, NIDA, NIMH, OD/DPCPSI/OBSSR, OD/DPCPSI/OSC The Federal Interagency Workgroup on Child Abuse and Neglect meets to provide a forum through which staff from relevant federal agencies can communicate and exchange ideas concerning the prevention of child maltreatment and other related issues.
Federal Interagency Workgroup on Improving Diagnostic Safety and Quality in Healthcare Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CDC, CMS, HRSA, IHS, OASH, ONC, SAMHSA CC, NCATS, NCI, NIBIB, NLM Federal Interagency Workgroup on Improving Diagnostic Safety and Quality in Healthcare was established in response to the Senate Report 115-150, which requested that AHRQ convene a cross-agency work group to address the lack of dedicated research into improving medical diagnosis and in particular, diagnostic failures that lead to patient harm. The Senate language was in response to the 2015 National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine "Improving Diagnosis in Health Care." This report was a continuation of two previously published reports from the Institute of Medicine: To Err Is Human: Building a Safer Health System(2000) and Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century(2001). These reports bring attention to the specific problem of diagnostic errors and their effect on the quality and safety of healthcare.
Federal Interagency Workgroup on Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities Administrative Data Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACL, AHRQ, ASPE, CDC, CMS, HRSA, SAMHSA NICHD, NIMH Launched in early 2020, the purpose of the FIW IAD is to establish greater coordination and collaboration of existing and newly developing federal activities related to ID/DD administrative data, terminology and definition concerns, data collection and related methodologies. We are committed to identifying and prioritizing opportunities to maximize the reach of federal efforts using IDD administrative data to understand and improve the lives of people with IDD. 
Federal Interagency Working Group on Measuring Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, CMS, SAMHSA NICHD, OD/DPCPSI/SGMRO This working group explores measurement of sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI), considering multiple different dimensions of sex, gender, and sexuality. The Working Group examines variability in measurement by age, race, ethnicity, and cultural group. It prepares recommendations to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and other Federal agencies for the development, testing, and usage of SOGI measures to more accurately describe LGBT populations.
