Federal Experts Security Advisory Panel (FESAP) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, FDA, OS OD/OSP, NIAID Provides recommendations related to the security of biological select agents and toxins (BSAT) to the Secretaries of Health and Human Services and Agriculture and the Attorney General.
Federal Health IT Coordinating Council Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CMS, ONC NLM, OD/OSP ONC promotes improved federal coordination through the Federal Health IT Coordinating Council, a voluntary group of 25 agencies that are actively involved in implementing the national health IT agenda. Among the topics addressed at coordination meetings were: 21st Century Cures Act implementation (ONC and CMS): MyHealthEData Initiative (CMS), Digital Health (FDA), and HIPAA Audits and HIPAA Access Right (OCR). Priority collaborations between ONC and CMS through the Council helped create increased attention to interoperability within the Administration and in specific CMS policies and programs.
Federal Health IT Coordinating Council (FHIT CC): Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) Work Group (FHIT CC: FIHR) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ONC, CMS NHGRI The FHIR Work Group’s mission is to coordinate federal knowledge, implementation, and decision-making around the role and use of the HL7 FHIR standard in health information technology. The Work Group will focus first on sharing knowledge about FHIR activities happening at the federal level from a regulatory, procurement, and programmatic standpoint. The Work Group will solicit and promote guidance for agencies making choices in FHIR development and implementation to align around a common version of the FHIR standard. Finally, the Work Group will prepare and advance a strategy to support federal FHIR development and implementation activities.
Federal Health IT Coordinating Council (FHIT CC): United States Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) (FHIT CC: USCDI) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ONC NHGRI The USCDI Work Group’s mission is to coordinate federal knowledge and decision making around implementing and updating the USCDI. The Work Group will provide a discussion forum for members to consider their federal agency program and policy priorities to advance or support additional data classes or data elements for future versions of the USCDI.
Federal HIV Implementation Science Workgroup Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA NIMH, NIAID, NIDA, OD/DPCPSI/OAR Representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HIV/AIDS Bureau), and the National Institutes of Health continued to convene a workgroup to focus on implementation science. The membership of the workgroup expanded to include the NIH’s Office of AIDS Research and National Institute on Drug Abuse, as well as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The overall goal of the workgroup is to increase collaborative efforts and decrease duplication of efforts related to implementing and studying the implementation of a broad range of interventions related to the prevention and treatment of HIV. To achieve this goal, the workgroup agrees to pursue a number of broad actions, including: 1) clearly define implementation science for the purpose of the workgroup; 2) understand current implementation science activities and interests within each agency and in the HIV prevention field; 3) identify and define current implementation science successes and challenges within each agency; 4) identify shared priorities and individual priorities for each agency and how future activities could address identified challenges; 5) within the workgroup, share lessons learned and successful strategies for program implementation and how using implementation science might advance implementation efforts; 6) advance the broader dissemination and adoption of key result and evidence-based, evidence-informed, or novel implementation strategies to programmatic and research partners; 7) align technical assistance efforts to support programs to integrate evidence-based, evidence-informed, and novel implementation strategies; and 8) support the advancement of implementation science as a field.
Federal HIV Web Council (HIV.gov) (FHWC) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OASH, CDC, FDA, HRSA, IHS, SAMHSA, ACF OD/DPCPSI/OAR, NIAID, NIDA HIV.gov expands the visibility of timely and relevant Federal HIV policies, programs, and resources to the American public. It strives to increase the use of new media tools by government, minority, and other community partners to extend the reach of HIV programs to communities at greatest risk, as well as increase knowledge about HIV and access to HIV services for people most at-risk for, or living with, HIV.
Federal Hypertension Control Leadership Council Meeting/ Workshop AHRQ, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, ASPR, ONC NHLBI, NINDS The Federal Hypertension Control Leadership Council convenes to inspire, connect, coordinate and accelerate action to achieve and improve hypertension control. We will use our individual levers in a collective effort to achieve and improve national hypertension control. In doing so, we will save lives and dollars, eliminate disparities, and improve our nation’s health and resiliency.
Federal Implementation Science Workgroup Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, HRSA NIAID, NIMH, NIDA, OD/DPCPSI/OAR The Federal Implementation Science Working Group was formed to further expand existing collaborations on federal initiatives and share best practices around implementation science.

Federal Interagency Forum for Child and Family Statistics Research Initiative ACF, AHRQ, CDC, HRSA, OS, SAMHSA NICHD, NIMH The purpose of this Interagency Agreement is to provide funds to support the work of the Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics (Forum). The purpose of the Forum is to foster collaboration among Federal agencies that produce or use statistical data on children and families. Specifically, the Forum seeks to improve both the quality and use of data on children and families by investigating questions of data quality, data measurement, and data integration; identifying information gaps and data inconsistencies; widening access to information on children and families through the annual publication American’s Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being and other means; coordinating the development and use of statistical data bases among Federal agencies; promoting communication among data producers, researchers, and public policymakers; and addressing concerns regarding collection, access, and dissemination of data.
