AHRQ Registry of Patient Registries (RoPR) Resource Development AHRQ NLM The Registry of Patient Registries (RoPR) is a database of registry-specific information intended to promote collaboration, reduce redundancy, and improve transparency. ClinicalTrials.gov worked with RoPR to implement a mechanism for patient registries to be registered in ClinicalTrials.gov and additional information provided directly at RoPR.
AHRQ/CMS/Duke Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) Comparative Effectiveness Review: Lower Extremity Peripheral Venous Disease, Excluding Acute Deep Vein Thrombosis. Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CMS NHLBI This systematic review will focus on the diagnosis and management of chronic venous disease in outpatient and inpatient settings where care is coordinated by primary care physicians, vascular surgeons, vascular medicine specialists, cardiologists, and/or radiologists. In developing this comprehensive review, the rules of evidence and evaluation of strength of evidence recommended by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)’s Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) Program in its Methods Guide for Effectiveness and Comparative Effectiveness Reviews (hereafter referred to as the Methods Guide) apply. This review will solicit feedback regarding conduct of the work (such as development of search strategies and identifying outcomes of key importance) from the Task Order Officer (TOO) and the Technical Expert Panel (TEP). The project will follow the methodology recommended by the EPCs for literature search strategies, inclusion/exclusion of studies in review, abstract screening, data abstraction and management, assessment of methodological quality of individual studies, data synthesis, and grading of evidence for each key questions.

Alaska Suicide Prevention Meeting/ Workshop SAMHSA NIMH Each year NIMH, in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), hosts a webinar on effective practices in suicide prevention for Alaska Native communities. Suicide is a national concern, with more than 41,000 deaths by suicide occurring in the U.S. each year. Alaska Native and American Indian populations bare a disproportionately high burden from suicide. At the webinar, mental health researchers, representatives from the Tanana chiefs Conference, and academic administrators provide an overview of suicide in Alaska and strategies to promote mental wellness and reduce suicide risk among Alaska Natives.
