Healthy People 2010/2020 Partnership Other AHRQ, CDC, CMS, HRSA, IHS, OS NHLBI, NINDS The Partnership provides the opportunity for several units of the Federal government to work on activities related to the Heart Disease and Stroke (HDS) components of the Healthy People initiative. In particular, the purpose of the activity is to catalyze progress toward achieving the Healthy People goals through the various phases of prevention, including prevention of the development of risk factors for HDS; detection and treatment of risk factors for HDS; early identification and treatment of HDS especially in the acute phases; and prevention of recurrence and complications of HDS.
Healthy People 2020 - Blood Diseases, Disorders, and Safety Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, FDA, HRSA, OS NHLBI The purpose of this agreement is to support development and implementation of survey questions and measures to assess progress made toward the achievement of the Healthy People 2020 national objectives for blood diseases/disorders and safety.

Healthy People 2020 - Environmental Health Topic Area Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, ATSDR, CDC, FDA, OS NIEHS Healthy People provides science-based, 10-year national objectives for promoting health and preventing disease. Since 1979, Healthy People has set and monitored national health objectives to meet a broad range of health needs, encourage collaborations across sectors, guide individuals toward making informed health decisions, and measure the impact of our prevention activity. Currently, Healthy People 2010 is leading the way to achieve increased quality and years of healthy life and the elimination of health disparities. Healthy People 2020 is currently assessing the objectives of the past decade, measuring the impact of its prevention activity, and developing new 10-year targets.
Healthy People 2020 - Respiratory Diseases Health Survey CDC NHLBI, NIAID, NIEHS The purpose of the collaborative activity is to support development and implementation by the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) of measures that could be used to assess progress towards achieving Healthy People 2020 respiratory/asthma objectives. The NHLBI and the National Center for Health Statistics collaborate on this activity.
Healthy People 2020 - Sleep Health Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CDC, CMS, HRSA, OSG NHLBI, NCCAM, NIA, NICHD, NINDS, NINR This activity supports the development and implementation of survey questions and measures to assess progress on achieving the Healthy People sleep health objectives.
Healthy People 2020 Partnerships for Heart Disease and Stroke Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, OS NHLBI, NINDS The purpose of this collaborative activity is to support the development by the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) of measures that can be used to assess progress toward achieving Healthy People 2020 (HP2020) Heart Disease, Blood Pressure, and Cholesterol Objectives. This work group is dedicated to HP2020-related activities that will: improve cardiovascular health and quality of life through prevention, detection, and treatment of risk factors for heart attack and stroke; promote early identification and treatment of heart attacks and strokes; and prevent repeat cardiovascular events. The NIH and CDC''s National Center for Health Statistics collaborate on this activity.
Healthy People 2020, Disability and Health Objective on Epilepsy Care (DH-6) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, OS NINDS, NICHD Working group to coordinate Healthy People 2020 objectives on epilepsy care in US adults, based on National Health Interview Survey data.  In 2013, the group converted the objective from developmental to measurable status.
Healthy People 2020-Dementias, Including Alzheimer''s Disease Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC NIA, NIMH, NINDS This Healthy People 2020 topic will focus on increasing the awareness of the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, and reducing the proportion of preventable hospitalizations in persons with diagnosed Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The goal is to reduce the morbidity and costs associated with, and maintain or enhance the quality of life for, persons with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Healthy People 2020-Older Adults Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACL, CDC NIA This Healthy People 2020 topic is designed to develop an understanding of the health and health care needs and implications for older adults. The objectives overall will promote healthy outcomes in this population. The goal of these objectives is to improve the health, function, and quality of life of older adults.
