Forum on Child and Family Statistics Resource Development ACF, AHRQ, CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA NIMH, NICHD, NIDA The Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics, or the Forum, is a working group of Federal agencies that collect, analyze, and report data on issues related to children and families. The Forum''s signature report, America''s Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, provides annual updates on the well-being of children and families in the United States across a range of domains.
Gain-of-Function Research on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1 Viruses: An International Consultative Workshop Meeting/ Workshop CDC, FDA, OS OD/OSP, NIAID International consultative workshop convened on December 17-18, 2012 on Gain-of-Function Research on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1 Viruses. The purpose of this workshop was to provide a forum for sharing multidisciplinary international perspectives on the risks and benefits of research on highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 viruses, and possible oversight strategies.

Genetics in Environmental and Occupational Diseases Research Initiative CDC NIEHS These studies evaluate unique cohorts of individuals from professions associated with immune-mediated occupational diseases including asthma, respiratory and contact allergy, chronic beryllium disease, rhinitis, and silicosis. Occupational cohorts are being studied for a number of endpoints including, impact of genetic polymorphisms on inflammatory disease development and clinical outcomes, the role that genetic variations play in environmental and workplace related diseases and identification of unique immunological biomarkers for disease.

Genomic Nursing State of the Science Advisory Panel Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force HRSA NHGRI, NINR A Genomic Nursing State of the Science Advisory Panel was convened in 2012 to develop the nursing research blueprint. The Advisory Panel, which met via two webinars and two in-person meetings, considered existing evidence from evidence reviews, testimony from key stake-holder groups, presentations from experts in research synthesis, and public comment.

Global Environmental and Occupational Health (GEOHealth) Other CDC FIC, NIEHS FIC, in collaboration with NIEHS and NIOSH/CDC, launched this program in order to support the development of leading institutions in the developing world that serve as regional hubs for collaborative research, data management, training, curriculum development and policy support in environmental and occupational health. The GHSAG was formed to develop and implement concrete actions to improve global health security and serve as a network for rapid response to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) terrorism crises.
