Its a Noisy Planet. Protect Their Hearing® Public Education campaign Public Education Campaign CDC NIDCD The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) sponsors It’s a Noisy Planet Protect Their Hearing®, a national public education campaign to increase awareness among parents of children ages 8 to 12 about noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and how to prevent it. The campaign disseminates messages through print and digital materials, social media, community events, and other methods. The CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) have actively collaborated with the NIDCD for this campaign.

Joint NSF/NIGMS Initiative to Support Research at the Interface of the Biological and Mathematical Sciences Research Initiative Not Reported NIGMS NIGMS and the Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) in the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS) at the NSF plan to support fundamental research in mathematics and statistics necessary to answer questions in the biological and biomedical sciences that are within the NIGMS mission. 
Joint Subcommittee on Environment, Innovation and Public Health (JEEP) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OSTP, ASPR, CDC, FDA NIEHS The purpose of the JEEP is to promote Federal cross-disciplinary research, development, and solutions to evolving and immediate environmental and public health concerns. The JEEP will address areas that cut across disciplines and federal initiatives and are fundamentally linked by their associated public health impacts to detect, address, and mitigate these concerns. Such areas include ones that are congressionally mandated (e.g. contaminants of emerging concern, PFAS, sustainable chemistry, toxic exposures), and other topics that would benefit from the cross-disciplinary, cross-Agency approach of the JEEP. The scope of the JEEP includes landscape and gap analysis to understand the Federal research and development portfolio, strategic planning to ensure a robust research and development infrastructure, coordination of Federal research and development efforts, and drafting policy to address gaps in Federal response to environmental and public health concerns.
Kaposi Sarcoma and HHV8 in Sickle Cell and Other Ugandan Populations Research Initiative CDC NCI Epidemiological studies are being conducted to assess small-area variation of Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (HHV8) and to learn about socio-demographical and environmental risk factors for HHV8 and Kaposi sarcoma in Uganda.
Kidney Innovation Accelerator Research Initiative OSTP, ASPR, FDA, OASH NCATS, NIBIB, NIDDK KidneyX, also called the Kidney Innovation Accelerator, is a public-private partnership between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the American Society of Nephrology (ASN). Established in April 2018, KidneyX aims to use prize competitions to accelerate the development of innovative solutions that can prevent, diagnose, and/or treat kidney diseases. KidneyX aims to promote collaboration between patients, health professionals, innovators, industry, and government with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life for people living with kidney diseases.
Kidney, Urologic, and Hematologic Diseases Interagency Coordinating Committee Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CDC, FDA, HRSA NCCIH, NCI, NHLBI, NIA, NICHD, NIDDK, NINDS, OD/DPCPSI/OBSSR The Kidney, Urologic, and Hematologic Diseases Interagency Coordinating Committee (KUHICC), chaired by NIDDK,  encourages cooperation, communication, and collaboration among all Federal agencies involved in kidney, urology, and hematology research and other activities. Section 429 of Public Law 99-158 created the KUHICC in 1987. The committee met for the first time in 1988, and has the following subcommittees: Kidney Interagency Coordinating Committee, Urology Subcommittee, and Hematology Subcommittee. Meetings focus on interagency collaboration to elicit ideas from meeting participants to enhance current research directions within the National Institutes of Health and to form partnerships among agencies.
