Working Groups to Develop HIV/AIDS Treatment and Prevention Guidelines Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force OASH OD/DPCPSI/OAR, CC, NIAID, NICHD, NLM, OD/DPCPSI There are five Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council (OARAC) Working Groups to maintain updated federally approved medical practice guidelines for HIV/AIDS Treatment and the Prevention of HIV Transmission from Mother to Infant. The five working groups are the 1) Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents, 2) Panel on Opportunistic Infections in HIV-Infected Adults and Adolescents, 3) Panel on Antiretroviral Therapy and Medical Management of Children Living with HIV, 4) Panel on Opportunistic Infections in HIV-Exposed and HIV-Infected Children, and 5) Panel on Treatment of Pregnant Women with HIV Infection and Prevention of Perinatal Transmission. The HIV/AIDS Treatment and Prevention Guideline Panels update guidelines for HIV/AIDS care providers with the most current information on combination antiretroviral therapy, treatment and prevention of opportunistic infections for people with HIV; the prevention of HIV transmission from an infected mother to her infant; and the safety and efficacy of HIV/AIDS therapies.
Workshop on Housing and Obesity: Gaps, Opportunities, and Future Directions for Advancing Health Equity Meeting/ Workshop CDC NIDDK, NHLBI, NCI, OD/DPCPSI/ODP, NICHD, NINR, NIMHD The overall goal of this workshop is to accelerate research on the role of housing insecurity- including housing affordability, quality, stability, and its neighborhood context on behaviors and pathways underlying risk for obesity-related health disparities across the lifespan. The workshop will emphasize existing research that connects housing policies and programs with obesity and also address methods for housing and obesity research, including study design, measures, data linkages and analytic approaches. The event will highlight interventions focused on addressing housing as a social need and that also move upstream to address housing as a core social determinant of health. The workshop will include engaging and interactive discussions to identify key research questions for advancing health equity research priorities relevant to diverse sectors and identify opportunities to create research partnerships and collaborations across Federal, regional and local housing programs.

World Health Organization (WHO) Programme on Prevention of Deafness and Hearing Loss Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC NIDCD NIDCD is a founding member of WHO;s World Hearing Forum, a global network of stakeholders promoting ear and hearing care worldwide. Members work, in part, to raise awareness about and promote key interventions from the World Report on Hearing, published in 2021. NIDCD supported the development of this report, the first of its kind,; via a contract mechanism and subject matter expertise via stakeholders' meetings.

WTP 2022 Spring Workshop: Preparing Workers for the Impacts of Climate Change through Training Meeting/ Workshop OASH NIEHS The purpose of the NIEHS Spring 2022 Worker Training Program (WTP) workshop was to share strategies regarding mitigating occupational hazards related to climate change; share case studies and approaches grantees have used; and provide an overview on how to conduct occupational climate vulnerability assessments. Attendees left the workshop with an increased familiarity of the many ways climate change impacts workers and an understanding of the content and approaches to best train workers, employers, and communities to prepare for and mitigate the hazards associated with climate change.
