The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Policy Coordinating Committee is comprised of senior representatives from each division of HHS. This committee coordinates the exchange of information about LGBT-related policies across the department, and provides a mechanism for both collecting and disseminating this information across operating divisions.

As HHS Liaison to NASA, Dr. Rutter and her team at NCATS coordinate interactions and expertise sharing among components of HHS to explore joint areas of interest. In January 2021, HHS appointed staff members to centralize the partnership and ensure continuity between administrations. NCATS remains as a leader in these efforts, working alongside NASA and HHS staff to coordinate activities, such as the Tissues Chips in Space Program.

This newly formed working group brings together HHS agencies to produce a report focused on long COVID and outlining current available programs, services, or supports and what additional support is being planned. Section 1 of the report will address the need to connect people experiencing long COVID to available services. Section 2 will tackle improving the delivery of health care services for people experiencing long COVID. Section 3 will address the needs of people dealing with bereavement and mental health and substance use challenges in the wake of the pandemic.

This HHS interagency group meets frequently to discuss topics and issues that are pertinent to the implementation of the Biden-Harris National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. This group also helped develop the framework for the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.
