President's Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children (PTFCEH) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ASPR, CDC, ATSDR, FDA, OASH, SAMHSA NIEHS, NICHD, NHLBI, NIMH, NIMHD The PTFCEH is the focal point for coordinating federal government efforts to explore, understand, and act together to improve children's environmental health. The Task Force mission includes a goal of prioritizing issues of environmental justice and health disparities among children.
President's Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children: Lead Exposures Subcommittee Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, CDC, FDA, HRSA, OS NICHD, NHLBI, NIEHS The President's Task Force on Environmental Health and Safety Risks to Children is the focal point for coordinating the federal government's effort to explore, understand, and improve children's environmental health. The task force's objectives are to: 1) develop federal interagency strategies to protect children’s environmental health and safety; 2) identify priority children's environmental health and safety issues best addressed through federal interagency efforts; and 3) communicate information to federal, state, and local decision-makers to protect children from environmental health risks. The Lead Subcommittee seeks to reduce lead exposure and associated harms through collaboration among federal agencies and with a range of stakeholders, including states, tribes and local communities, along with businesses, property owners and parents. This Subcommittee will help federal agencies work strategically and collaboratively to reduce exposure to lead with the aim of ultimately improving children’s health.
Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ASPR NIAID In March 2015, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the establishment of the Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB). This Federal Advisory Committee (FACA) includes public voting members, non-voting liaison representatives from organizations and/or interest groups, and non-voting federal ex-officio members. PACCARB provides advice, information, and recommendations to the Secretary regarding programs and policies intended to support and evaluate the implementation of Executive Order 13676, including the National Strategy for CARB and the National Action Plan for CARB. PACCARB has been reauthorized until January 18, 2019 (based on its charter), through Executive Order 13811 on September 29, 2017.
President’s Task Force (PTF) on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children: Chemical Exposures (ChEx) Subcommittee Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force FDA, OASH NINDS, NIEHS The goal of the PTF ChEx subcommittee is to coordinate federal research and action to address early-life exposures to chemicals that impact children's health, such as the development of methods and models to enhance exposure assessment relevant to public health.

As a trans-NIH, trans-agency committee, the PRCC provides a broad perspective on the current state-of-the-science and actively disseminates information about prevention-related activities sponsored by federal and non-federal organizations to the NIH Institutes and Centers.
Probiotic and Prebiotic Working Group [PPWG] (PPWG) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force FDA NCI, NCCIH, NIAMS, NIDA, NIDCR, OD/DPCPSI/ODS, CC, CIT, CSR, FIC, NCATS, NEI, NHGRI, NHLBI, NIA, NIAAA, NIAID, NIBIB, NICHD, NIDCD, NIDDK, NIEHS, NIGMS, NIMH, NIMHD, NINDS, NINR, NLM, OD/OEDI The Probiotic and Prebiotic Working Group (PPWG) is a trans-NIH effort formed in 2006 to identify gaps and challenges in prebiotic and probiotic research. Their goals include (1) facilitating interactions and collaborations among research scientists in the field of probiotics and prebiotics, (2) advancing prebiotic and probiotic research, and (3) understanding the role of gut microbiota and use of prebiotics and probiotics in health and disease. The working group strives to promote constructive interactions across NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices, by disseminating real-time information and keeping PPWG members abreast of current and future activities occurring in the fields of probiotics and prebiotics. The group meets quarterly to form allied partnerships and collaborate on various pre- and probiotic activities. 2022 updates - Trans-NIH workshop held: Precision Probiotic Therapies Challenges and Opportunities, April 26-27th, 2022. The workshop was led by NCCIH. Public Health and Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise (PHEMCE) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, CDC, FDA, OS, SAMHSA NIAID, NIAMS, NICHD, NINDS, NLM The Public Health and Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise (PHEMCE) advances national preparedness for natural, accidental, and intentional threats by coordinating medical countermeasure-related efforts within HHS and in cooperation with PHEMCE interagency partners. NIAID has representatives on many groups within PHEMCE.
Public Health Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise (PHEMCE) Preparedness Against Chemical Threats (PACT) Working Group (PHEMCE PACT Working Group) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, FDA, OS NINDS, NIAID The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Public Health Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise (PHEMCE) leads the mission to develop and acquire medical countermeasures that will improve public health emergency preparedness as well as prevent and mitigate the adverse health consequences associated with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN), and naturally occurring threats.
Public Health Service Technology Transfer Policy Board (TTPB) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC, FDA OD/OIR, OD/OIR/OTT, OD/OSP, OD/OER The purpose of the Public Health Service (PHS) Technology Transfer Policy Board (TTPB) is to serve as the principal advisory board for establishing PHS technology transfer policies and modifying existing policies, as applicable. Membership is drawn from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as lead agency in the PHS technology transfer program, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
