State of Illinois - Governor Challenge Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force SAMHSA CC Outcome Measurements for Interventions to Decrease Veteran Suicide. This collaboration works to measure various outcomes for interventions to decrease suicide among US Veterans. Following this evaluation, the group will make recommendations based of their assessments.
Steering Committee of the Scientific Interest Group in Glycobiology Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force FDA NIGMS, NCI, NHGRI, NHLBI, NIAID, NICHD, NIDCR, NIDDK The Steering Committee of the Scientific Interest Group in Glycobiology (GlycoSIG) is comprised of National Institutes of Health (NIH) intramural scientists and program staff as well researchers from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The committee organizes a seminar series; an annual NIH/FDA Glycosciences Research Day Meeting (averaging 250 people in attendance); and a Mentoring Networking Luncheon for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to meet with staff from federal agencies and learn about NIH extramural programs. The Committee also offers a Special Topics in the Glycosciences Course every other year. In addition, the GlycoSIG maintains an email list serve to distribute information on meetings, jobs, funding opportunities, and seminars. The SIG cross posts with other NIH SIG’s that share interests.

Subcommittee on Open Science (Formerly Interagency Working Group on Open Science) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, AHRQ, ASPR, CDC, CMS, FDA OD/OSP, NLM, OD/OER The Subcommittee on Open Science (SOS) advances Federal efforts to support open science by increasing access to, and use of, the results of federally funded research and development, including, but not limited to, scholarly publications and digital data. Among its responsibilities, the SOS aims to improve implementation of policies to increase access to the results of federally funded scientific research and to identify additional steps that Federal Departments and Agencies can take to enhance the preservation, discoverability, accessibility, quality, and utility of research outputs. Meets monthly to advance government-wide efforts to advance open science by coordinating agency efforts to improve access to publications, data, and Other outputs of Federally funded research.
Sudden Death in the Young (SDY) Registry Resource Development CDC, HRSA NHLBI, NINDS The Sudden Death in the Young (SDY) Registry is a surveillance system to track sudden deaths in youths less than or equal to 19 years of age in up to 10 states and to gather clinical data and a DNA sample to be used for research to explore the causes and risk factors for sudden death in the young. The SDY Registry is a collaboration between the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
SUDV Medical Countermeasures Acceleration Meeting Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force ACF, ACL, AHRQ, ATSDR, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, HIS, SAMHSA NIAID An interagency meeting designed to coordinate and respond to SUDV by expediting the development and distribution of vaccines, treatments, testing and other measures as needed.
Support for Implementation of Agency Public Access Policies Resource Development AHRQ, CDC, FDA, IOS, ASPR NLM, OD/OSP NLM collaborates with other Federal agencies to provide free public access through NLM;s PubMed Central digital archive to peer reviewed publications resulting from agency-funded research. These agencies include five divisions and offices in HHS and four agencies outside HHS. Interagency agreements have been signed with AHRQ, ASPR, CDC, FDA and ACL within HHS, as well as with NIST, VA, EPA, and DHS. IAAs with VA and AHRQ have also been extended to support inclusion of non-journal literature in NCBI;s Bookshelf resource. NLM has also agreed to manuscript redistribution terms with NOAA and DOD to streamline public access compliance across the federal government.
Supporting Early Psychosis Research and Implementation Research Initiative OS, ASPE NIMH The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) supports research on the delivery of evidence-based early psychosis care, including facilitating the implementation of evidence-based coordinated specialty care (CSC) for early psychosis. Collaborators from NIMH and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Secretary (OS) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) meet on a regular basis to inform each other's research agenda on early psychosis care generally and CSC specifically, identify synergies in research initiatives and formulate new research initiatives, and share related draft reports and funding opportunity announcements for comment.
