Also to consult on the identification of specific measures, targeted goals, and annual benchmarks for relevant agencies in achieving the national priorities, provide a forum for HHS agencies and Operating Divisions to develop and share agency-specific plans to achieve the national priorities. The Workgroup also will develop processes to assess and foster alignment of the efforts with States and private sector initiatives.
HHS Steering Committee on Violence Against Women (VAWA) Other ACF, CDC, HRSA, IHS, SAMHSA NIDA, OD/DPCPSI/ORWH The DHHS Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) steering committee is chaired by the Office on Women''s Health (OWH). The VAWA committee has the responsibility for coordinating the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) response to issues related to violence against women and their children, and also coordinates DHHS violence related activities with those of other Federal agencies. The members of the committee establish links with professional societies in the health and social service fields to increase attention to women''s health and violence issues. The members of the committee also serve as resource experts for the National Advisory Committee on VAW, which is chaired by the HHS Secretary and the DOJ Attorney General.

HHS Viral Hepatitis Interagency Working Group Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force AHRQ, CDC, CMS, FDA, HRSA, IHS, OS, SAMHSA NIDDK, CC, NCCAM, NCI, NHLBI, NIAAA, NIAID, NICHD, NIDA, NIMHD, OD/DPCPSI/OAR The HHS Viral Hepatitis Interagency Working Group was created by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health to address a recent report sponsored by the Institute of Medicine entitled Hepatitis and Liver Cancer: A National Strategy for Prevention and Control of Hepatitis B and C. The group meets to discuss collaborations and activities directed at achieving the goals for viral hepatitis research and control highlighted in the IOM report.

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is the lead Institute representing the National Institutes of Health on the Working Group.
HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) 065 Research Initiative CDC NIAID, NIDA, NIMH HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) 065 is a feasibility study of an enhanced testing, linkage to care, and treatment approach to HIV prevention in the US.
HIV/AIDS Cancer Match Study Research Initiative CDC NCI Investigators have used data from the NCI HIV/AIDS Cancer Match Study, in conjunction with data from the CDC surveillance program on the number of HIV-infected people in the U.S., to estimate the contribution of the HIV epidemic to the occurrence of Kaposi sarcoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and cervical cancer.
Hospice to Palliative Care: Maximizing Patient Preferences and Cost Savings Research Initiative AHRQ CC The goal of the study is to provide rational, patient-defined, evidence-based recommendations to inform the redesign of the Medicare hospice benefit, transitioning policy from the current hospice benefit to a more patient-centered palliative care model.
HPV Working Group for the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) Committee, Work group, Advisory group, or Task Force CDC NCI ACIP Work Groups (WGs) serve in a key scientific role in support of vaccine policy development by the ACIP. ACIP WGs conduct extensive background reviews of relevant research data to develop options for recommendations for use of vaccines in the civilian population of the United States. WGs are convened solely to gather scientific information related to vaccines and the diseases they prevent, to analyze relevant issues and data, and to draft policies or options for review, deliberation and vote by the ACIP. The duties of this position include participation in teleconferences and meetings, as well as preparation time for these meetings.
Human Immunology Project Consortium Collaboration on Mechanism Studies of Influenza Vaccination Research Initiative FDA NIAID The NIAID-funded Human Immunology Project Consortium supports an Infrastructure/Opportunity Fund (IOF) to create a shared research infrastructure for ongoing development of the immune profiling network, support collaborative projects, pilot projects, and new research opportunities for the HIPC investigators.  One of the projects the IOF supports is a collaboration with Dr. Hana Golding’s laboratory at FDA. This project is using a systems biology approach to undertake a detailed analysis of the molecular signatures of the innate and adaptive immune responses to inactivated H5N1 vaccine in healthy adult volunteers; Dr. Golding’s lab will also evaluate and run pre-and post-vaccination plasma samples and analyze the data.
