The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites Tribal Officials and Tribal Representatives to participate in the second Tribal Consultation for the All of Us Research Program’s two new initiatives.
All of Us is:

  • Expanding its existing data access model to contain an added level of sensitive participant data that will require mandatory review by an Institutional Review Board
  • Planning to include self-identified American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) participants in the Partnered Research Studies initiative involving a large-scale biospecimen analysis effort

NIH is seeking Tribal input to help shape the program's strategies so that the use of biospecimens and access to data align with priorities of Tribal and Urban Indian communities.

This will be the second Tribal Consultation on these initiatives, with the first Tribal Consultation having occurred on August 17, 2026.
