In summer 2023, the Sexual & Gender Minority Research (SGMRO) is sponsoring a Summer Intensive Program (SIP) to enhance the knowledge of NIH summer interns and trainees about sexual and gender minority (SGM) health research. This program is open to summer interns, postbacs, predoc IRTAs, and postdoc IRTAs, who are interested in learning more about SGM health research and how science, policy, communication, and community engagement can play a role in health equity. The program will offer a once-a-week opportunity for 8-weeks to hear from prominent SGM health researchers, roundtable discussions exploring the intersection of research and public policy, communications, and journal club discussions. A certificate of completion will be given to those who attend all 8 sessions.
